Raising funds for the orphans and widows of HIV/Aids victims in
and around Bumala N.W.Kenya to help put back dignity into shattered
lives, help the children receive an education, and help the widows
become self-sufficient

The children gather together on non-school days
–
a sense of belonging one to another! PROJECTS NEEDING FUNDING Banana Plantation
Beekeeping
Growing chillies
Pig farming – 4 pairs pigs and training
Water pumps x 4 to help with watering seedlings and banana plants
(approx £100 each)
Knowing that food will become extremely scarce, 16 widows have
been provided with half acre plots which have been ploughed,
harrowed and fertilised and they have each been given maize &
beans to plant.
Provided mosquito nets for each orphan and members of their
extended families
Started a tree nursery in November – 30,000 seedlings were
transplanted and they have started selling them on now. The
Tree Nursery employs up to 20 people a week. Also the
widows and children help and are greatly encouraged to be able to
do something positive. Because of the
troubles in Kisumu, Peter had to travel to Nairobi to pick up tubes
necessary to use to protect their crops.
Started a Banana Plantation – this project needs to be
sponsored
Austine, our blind boy, is now happily settled into Kapenguria
School , near Kitale. Each term, Peter arranges for Austine
to be collected and taken back at a cost of approximately
£100 each trip – around 200 miles but takes all day
because the roads are so poor.
Text Messages from Peter Weyama “We are all going on well
except some boys and girls sometimes get sick but they do get
treatment so no major problems."
"Please pass on our grateful thanks to all who have been praying
for us and supporting us. We thank God for you
all.”
