| About Us
Child Care Foundation-Uganda is a charity organisation committed to assisting the underprivileged, abused and abandoned children in Uganda. We provide support to orphans and other disadvantaged children who have been deprived of the basic options in life. CCF was formed in light of the fact that over 10million children and adolescents in Uganda grow up in families struggling to survive on less than $1 a day. But no dollar measurement can convey the hardships of children who are malnourished, whose water is unsafe to drink, who miss school and who grow up without ever visiting the inside of a health facility. Poverty and Aids have not only destroyed hopes and opportunities of the children in Uganda, but have also caused lasting damage to young minds. It was therefore due to this grim background that CCF was formed not only to help the poorest children survive in this predator world, but also to mkae greater efforts in meeting the challenges of protecting and harnessing their physical,emotional and intellectual potential. Mission Our mission is guide by the United Nations' Convention on the rights of the child and strives to establish children's rights as enduring ethical principles and international standards of behaviour towards children. Our mission is to ensure the social, economic and psychological protection of the most disadvantaged children who have been victimised by war, Aids, extreme poverty and all forms of violence and exploitation. Vision CCF's vision is a society where all ophans and other vulnerable children live to their full potential, with their rights and aspirations fulfilled. What Makes Us Special? Care for the Children Uganda is basically a family of members who refuse to turn their backs on childrens suffering and believe that it is only through humanitarianism that we can help the helpless in society. In other words we believe that sharing our time, resources and those who need them is the best we can do. We achieve this through volunteering efforts that support the ophans and all the work they do to change childrens lives. Our Certificate of
