FtC Payroll
for use starting April 2008
FtC Payroll is a free UK monthly payroll program
for charities, which produces monthly pay advices
for your employees and a summary giving details
of NIC and Tax payment required by the Inland
Revenue. There is also a year end report
providing all the information that you need to
complete P14s, P60s, and the P35 for the Inland
Revenue.
FtC Payroll provides for the needs of
charities with :-
- NI class 1
- Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) Statutory
Maternity Pay (SMP)
- Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP) Statutory
Adoption Pay (SAP)
- Fixed Deductions (stakeholder pension
etc.)
- Payroll giving
- No limit to the number of employees per
payroll
- No limit to the number of payrolls you can
run
- A facility for you to update the bands and
rates used for NI and Tax calculations each
year - or just download and install the new
version
- Fast data entry with no need to re-enter
data that does not change from month to
month

Execute the program ftcpayrollsetup.exe which
will guide you through the installation
process.

Mid Year Tax Changes 2008
You will doubtless have heard from HMRC about the
mid year tax changes to be implemented from the
first pay day on or after 7 September 2008.
In particular :-
- All suffix L codes to be increased by 60.
All other tax codes must stay the same until a
revised P6 is received from HMRC.
- Basic Rate 20% - up to and including
£34,800 Higher Rate 40% - over
£34,800
For FtC Payroll users
after closing the August payroll and before doing
the September payroll :-
- Use the Enter Data screen to increase all
suffix L tax codes by 60
- Use the Set Parameters screen to set
parameter 10 "tax limit for second band rate"
to 34800.
- Exit FtC Payroll - this is necessary so
that the parameter change is
activated.
- Run FtC Payroll as usual to do the
September payroll.
