Voluntary projects

Mentor Volunteers Uganda welcomes short mid and long term volunteers. Volunteers that can make a change in the community and in our organisation, dealing with arts and culture, women groups youth groups, environmental conservation, rural development programs, disadvantaged children, health education, human rights. Solidarity projects, Teaching in primary and secondary schools.

The project also gives volunteers a chance to make important contributions to the community in teaching, construction, medical etc and to experience the country and its cultures

Work camps

Work camps are projects involving international volunteers getting linked to the Uganda Community projects.

Young people take part in short term exchanges organised Mentor Volunteers and its partners .The people and projects that Young Volunteer groups are involved with very enormously. The most popular work is within children and young people, but they are many other projects that involve ex- offenders the homeless people, People with the disabilities, Older people, Fund raising and Animal care Agricultural projects, constructions, Environmental conservation, Functional Adult literacy, Women groups, Health education and solidarity projects from 1- 3 weeks volunteer project. Its a free labour young people provide to a given community, Otherwise its a cost if it is done out of voluntary spirit.

MVU provide work camp project for young people to work with local communities and create greater awareness

MVU works towards ensuring every young person has the opportunity to volunteer and make a positive difference in their community and beyond, through having the access to relevant Volunteers opportunities and receiving effective support .MVU aims at promoting young peoples activeness and to make concerns of local people into consideration
