TO ALL PRISONS IN BOTSWANA
The World Community Counseling Centre is a Faith Based Organization fully registered under Botswana registry of societies since February 2006.It was founded by a group of Christians to make positive change in the lives of children and young people in need (vulnerable children/young people) in Botswana and the world at large. The World Community Counseling Centre is the first organization to donate Televisions, DVD Players and Decoders and Satellites dish’s in Gaborone prisons and providing counseling and psycho-social support to the inmates and prisons officers those are in need since the year 2005.We are committed to continue to donate Televisions; Decoders and Satellites dish’s including all channels and providing counseling and psycho- social support to all Botswana prisons for spiritual development. Currently we are installing television sets in Lobatse, Kanye, Molepolole, Moshupa and Mahalapye prisons. The WCCC works to create a safer and more inclusive society where children and youth are able to employ sport and community processes as a means to reduce violence, intolerance, diseases and other anti-social behaviors (Abs). The organization works to enhance the correctional capacities of prisons in Botswana and foster smooth re-integration of ex-convicts into the general society through psycho-social support, bible study, counseling and preaching the gospel. Our community outreaches gives care and support to 50 families with foods basket in Kgaphamadi village behind Gaborone International Airport.The WCCC is assuring to provide high quality of comprehensive community care and support programs to train, counsel, and deliver quality care and service for the children and care givers, youth, youth inmates and ex-convicts through the strategic socio economic programming in the identified communities. We are committed to acting now to make a positive impact on our children and youth. We are truly grateful for any assistance in achieving our goals and in enhancing awareness of youth violence, crime & substance abuse.
