SignPost is a Graduate Literary Forum founded in March 2003 in the
Department of English of the University of Yaounde I. Its aims
are:
- To instil the spirit of research and promote intellectualism.
This is a way of encouraging academic confidence and independence
amongst graduates of the Department.
- To encourage graduate students to be productive and creative.
Cognisance is taken of the fact that some students at the graduate
level still remain at the receiving end of the academic world.
- To contribute to the ever-evolving literary and linguistic world.
This aim is realised though presentations that address
topical/current issues in language and linguistics, and literatures
in English.
Founding co-ordinator - Nah Charles Nyitsotemve
Current co-ordinator - Mfong Zackari
Members organise presentations on varied topics in Language and
literature.
